INPEX Idemitsu awarded five production licenses in APA 2023
On 16 January 2024, INPEX Idemitsu Norge (IIN) was offered five production licenses as part of Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) 2023.
The offer includes operatorship in PL 1217 and partner shares in PL 1194 B, PL 1231 and PL 1233. The licenses are located in the northeastern North Sea and in the Norwegian Sea.
IIN holds license equity in numerous licenses in the northern Norwegian Sea, northern North Sea and Barents Sea. The company is involved in production operations at the Fram and Snorre fields in the northern North Sea, while actively promoting exploration activities. The five most recently awarded exploration licenses are expected to contribute to the further expansion of IIN’s business portfolio.
We are delighted to receive offers of licence awards that will support INPEX Idemitsu Norway’s commitment to the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The awarded acreages are expected to fit one of our initiatives aiming at making our business more resilient.
