INPEX Idemitsu awarded three production licenses in APA 2022
On 10 January 2023, INPEX Idemitsu Norge (IIN) was offered three production licenses as part of Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) 2022.
The awarded licenses are PL 1194, located in the Vøring Basin in the Norwegian Sea, and PL 1179 and PL 293 CS (area additional to the PL 293 B Kveikje discovery), both located in the northern North Sea.
IIN owns interests in numerous licenses in the northern Norwegian Sea, northern North Sea and Barents Sea, and is involved in stable production operations at the Fram and Snorre oil fields in the northern North Sea while actively promoting exploration activities. The three most recently awarded exploration licenses are expected to contribute to the further expansion of INPEX’s business portfolio.
We are delighted to receive offers of license awards that will bolster INPEX Idemitsu’s long-lasting presence and commitment to the greater Fram field area. Similarly, the Norwegian Sea award represents an important, additional element to our Norwegian Sea license portfolio, with a good strategic fit to our gas exploration in this sub-province.
