“The Fram Sør development increases the production from the Fram field supporting the company’s growth strategy”, says Koji Ochiai, Managing Director of IIN.
Mr. Ochiai adds that the development continues the long-term value creation in the Fram area and reinforces IIN’s commitment to further developing the area. Production from Fram Sør will also contribute to the company’s net zero vision with very low emissions.
The Fram Sør project is a combined development of several discoveries that will export oil and gas via Troll C. Recoverable reserves are estimated at 116 million barrels of oil equivalent, 75 percent of which is oil and 25 percent is gas. Production is scheduled to start at the end of 2029. The CO2 intensity for the Fram Sør development is estimated at about 0.5 kg of CO2 per barrel of oil equivalent due to tie-in to Troll C being powered from shore.
IIN has been a key contributor in the exploration phase of the Blasto and the Echino Sør discoveries which forms the basis for the Fram Sør development.
